Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

Most vehicles are good looking even if their looks become dated as time passes. Car manufacturers take great care in creating designs that will draw people in and make them want to own their car. That said, not all cars are pleasing to the eye while some are downright atrocious looking and bizarre. Such vehicles often make fellow drivers question the talent, skill, and sanity, of their designers. Aesthetically unpleasant cars exist in great number and aren't always "old" cars. Many new models can lay claim to the title "Ugliest Car In The World."

The Thing By Volkswagen

Even without seeing this vehicle it's name should raise an eyebrow or two. The name alone piques the curiosity of many if it doesn't raise a red flag. This car is boxy and looks as though it was assembled by by a kindergartner. The stock dull orange paint job only makes matters worse too. Those who've ridden in The Thing will tell you it's like driving in a cardboard box. The Thing is not only ugly but it's a rough ride to boot.

The Tatra T603

When people talk about Czechoslovakia they normally don't talk about the cars that the country produces. The Tatra T603 is the one exception to this rule however. The car sports a look that some say looks as though someone put a 56 Chevy and an egg in a microwave together. While the car is hard on the eyes it was well respected for it's reliability and superb construction.

The Bond Bug

Though this car is often associated with Agent 007 it has nothing to do with James Bond. Reliant purchased the Bond Motor Company in the 1970's and sought to build a "fun" car. The Bond Bug features 3 wheels a pointed nose or front end, and short stubby doors. This car looks to be part boat and part car though it is not an amphibious automobile.

The Corbin Sparrow

The Corbin Sparrow isn't just ugly. It's also small, odd, and very intimate. This car features two wheels up front and just one on it's rear. This vehicle allows just one person, it's operator, to ride and can only drive 150 miles per charge. This car is often called "The Jelly Bean" colloquially because it resembles a giant jelly bean.

Automobile Renters Insurance

limousine experts
There have been jokes made about paying for the insurance that's offered when renting an automobile. The people who make and laugh at these jokes are the same people whom forgo auto renters insurance believing it either to be a scam or just wholly unnecessary. While it's certainly true that car rental and insurance companies make money from this type of insurance they do so only because automobile crashes, damage, and other issues are rare. Those who've driven off the rental lot without the extra insurance and gotten into accidents or seen their rental car sustain damage sing a very different tune. The out of pocket expenses associated with driving without extra renters insurance quickly skyrocket when an incident does occur.

Better To Have It...

...and need it than need it and not have it, or so the old saying goes. This is a wise piece of advice especially when you're talking about automobile renters insurance. While most car renters will drive and complete their rental without incident, those that run into even minor problems find themselves happy to have the extra insurance. While the basic insurance rental lots require an individual to carry cover basic collision and liability, the extra insurance covers everything else. Uninsured motorists, broken windshields, theft, and miscellaneous damages are all covered under this type of insurance. Drivers involved in incidents without the added coverage may find themselves in court, being sued by other motorists, and with negative marks on their credit reports.

All Cars Covered?

Some whom rent vehicles may be under the assumption that not all rentals are covered by additional insurance. Others pass on the coverage because they don't think the car they're renting is worth it. Whether a driver is renting a town car, riding in a limousine, or renting a high end sports car, it behooves them all to sign up for additional and more comprehensive coverage. Rental companies protect their vehicles and those who rent can protect themselves and their own finances by accepting this type of coverage. All companies that rent vehicles out offer supplemental insurance. There is no excuse not to take it.

The KAZ Electric Limousine

Courtesy of www.topspeed.com
When talking strange limousines one must include the KAZ Electric Limo in the conversation. This Italian-Japanese vehicle is ambitious and really off the wall. This limousine isn't the longest or the most luxurious but it does dare to be different and is one of a kind. The car's six wheels are powered by 6 separate electric engines which produce 74 horse power each. The KAZ Electric Limousine looks like a Volkswagen Beetle on the outside and is streamlined and sleek on the inside.

Ambitious Construction

Japanese and Italian engineers came together to build this car and took a full 5 years to complete the project. Those involved in this project sought to create a limousine that was both on the cutting edge of technology and was unconventional. They succeeded in both aspects creating a car that looks futuristic and incorporates cutting edge vehicular technology. Even it's electric engines push this car from zero to sixty two miles per hour in just seven seconds. This type of power is rare among electric engines. The engineers of this limo poured over four million dollars into its creation and those who've ridden in this car will tell you it was worth every penny.

An Environmentally Friendly Limo

The KAZ Electric Limousine was also designed to be environmentally friendly. Not only does it not consume fossil fuels but it produces no waste or pollution whatsoever. It is listed by  automakers as a Keio Advanced Zero Emissions vehicle (KAZ) because it can be driven without damaging the environment nor does it ever need to be refueled. The vehicle's battery life is nearly 24 hours which means the car can be out for lengthy periods of time before it needs to be recharged.

The World's Ugly Limousines

There are a great number of ugly cars but when it comes to limousines car makers usually set out to make their limo's luxurious and aesthetically pleasing. That said there exists a number of ugly limousines. Some of these are just oddballs while others feature very curious design choices and amenities. Although there's no official "ugliest limousine" a car from the Ukraine can certainly lay claim to that title.

From Another Time

The best limo's in the world look fabulous in part because they incorporate contemporary designs and standards. The Ukrainian limousine in question looks as though it was built in the late 80's or early 90's. Even by the standards of that era this limo is still ugly. The Ukrainian limousine is an abrasive grey/sliver and features wheels that look like they where stolen from Honda's 1986 Accord assembly line. While most cars are built to look and be aerodynamic the designers of this car made some very odd decisions. The car is lumpy and some say it looks blocky as though it's a child's toy.

Ugly On The Inside Too

The old adage that says "don't judge a book by its cover" is normally sound advice but in this instance it isn't applicable. This limo's interior features a wrinkled and puffy leather that looks like crumpled paper. It also utilizes dark plastics and stained woods on its walls and its late 90's Audi dashboards.  It's seats feature more wrinkled though more rigid leather and it's carpet is a very cold and dull grey.

A Comfortable Ride

This Ukrainian limousine may be aesthetically deficient inside and out but no one can say that it's not a comfortable ride. Those who ride in this odd looking car will tell you that it feels more like floating than it does driving. Moreover it's interior has been updated to include modern amenities. Riders can enjoy television, movies, the internet, and music during their trip. There's even a small but fully functional bar that riders can take advantage of. You may not want to be seen riding in this car but you'll enjoy the time you spend in it.

The Porsche Cayenne Limousine

Courtesy of newscarsreview.com
The name Porsche is synonymous with speed, power, and luxury. The Porsche Cayenne Limousine however surpasses all of these qualities and is extravagantly decadent. Anyone who's got serious money to spend on a limo ride should seriously consider reserving this car for their event. The Porsche Cayenne Limousine is often considered the epitome of style, comfort, and class in the world of limousines.

Endless Entertainment

The fact that this limo is made by Porsche is enough to convince some to rent one. Those looking for maximum entertainment value however should note that this vehicle boasts a touch screen sound system that enables passengers to choose from nearly 8500 songs. Television and movie fans will no doubt be excited by the car's five LED TV's in back while those interested in a comfortable ride and/or party will have access to state of the art climate and lighting controls as well as a full length bar.

Fit For A King

While the car is popular for it's amenities, the interior of the Porsche Cayenne limo isn't all fun and games. Considerable talent was used in the planning and construction of this vehicle. Whether it's the adjustable lighting, the perfectly comfortable seats, moving room, or the materials used in it's construction, it's not a stretch to say this thing was built with royalty in mind. It is truly a work of art that will please even the most fastidious of persons.

The Limo-Bike - An Amazing And Unique Experience

Limousines are traditionally 4 wheeled vehicles and feature things like television sets, a bar, pools, a sound system etc. So many limo's are similar in so many ways that laypersons may have a difficult time finding something unique or even off the wall.  The Limo-Bike from Wildlife Tours sits far outside the box. This limousine isn't a car, it's essentially a trike or a three wheeled motorcycle. It's reminiscent of a chopper but makes riding in a limo an all new experience.

A Combination Of New And Old

The Limo Bike's exterior design is part 70's chopper while it's rear looks like it once belonged to an mid or late 1930's Chevy or Ford. The driver of The Limo-Bike sits up front in traditional chopper style only there's space for someone to ride shotgun. The cabin seats up to 8 adults and features soft seating covered in high grade leather. Surprisingly this vehicle also features a television, sound system, and a roof that opens near the rear. By combining a classic look with modern technology this trike really sets itself apart from other limousines.

 Wanna Go For A Ride?

While the the Limo-Bike isn't a private or exclusive limousine a ride in this thing is going to cost you, provided you can even reserve one that is. It's popularity is such that those who desire to rent one must make a reservation far, far in advance of their event or special date. If you're fortunate enough to get into one however your event and memory of it will be greatly enhanced by this one of a kind limousine.

Creative Limousines - The Chrysler Prowler Limo

Courtesy of www.limousines4sale.co.uk
If you think the standard limos you rent for parties, weddings, concerts, and whatnot are extravagant vehicles then you will be floored by the Chrysler Prowler Limo. It's unlikely you'll ever see this car for rent at your run of the mill limousine service and there's a good reason for that. This particular limo may not sit atop any best of or most extravagant lists but make no mistake, it is impressive.

One Of A Kind

Many of the world's top limousines have a great deal in common. The Chrysler Prowler Limo however is unique in its design and set's itself apart from other limos by daring to be different. The Chrysler Prowler Limo features lambo style doors up front and suicide doors in the back. This car also has a place specifically for guests up front, fitting two adults in this space. Four passengers may ride in it's rear compartment along side those two up front for a total of six passengers. If you're interested in an intimate limousine experience the Chrysler Prowler Limo serves intimacy up in spades. The interior of this vehicle boasts high grade leather, a station for drinks, and an effective climate control system.

A Comfortable Ride

Passengers may be so distracted by their interior experience that the supreme craftsmanship and construction of the car itself may go unnoticed and unappreciated. The Chrysler Prowler Limo provides it's passengers with one of the softest and quietest rides available. It may look like a sports car but it drives/rides like a high class town car built for royalty. If you're ever afforded an opportunity to ride in the Chrysler Prowler Limo you will be thoroughly impressed.

The Best Limousines In The World

Limousines

There are any number of high profile world class limousines in which the world's elite ride. The best limousines in the world however are the ones that meet your needs and budgetary requirements. Fortunately there are a plethora of very different limo's for rent which means regardless of what you need one for or what you've got to spend you'll have very little trouble finding one that suits your needs.

The Posh Vs The Modest

It might be tempting for those operating on smaller budgets to cut other areas back a bit in order to increase the limousine portion of their budget. In some cases that's actually a great idea but more often than not it's unnecessary. Not only are limousine services fiercely competitive with one another but there are often excellent alternatives to limousines just outside your price range. Moreover many limo services are flexible and willing to bend a bit to get your business and you into the car you want. Whatever the occasion you don't need to spend an exuberant amount of money to have a good time or ride comfortably in a limousine. Additionally, sometimes a more intimate or modest limousine makes for a better time. Something to consider when you start shopping for a ride.

The Event And Guest List

The best limousines in the world help create memories. Therefore it's incredibly important to select a limo that can comfortably accommodate all your guests and any activities that you plan on engaging in during your time in the vehicle. You'll also want to keep in mind that limousines for concerts, birthday parties, and bachelor parties might not be a good choice for a corporate event or a ride to/from the airport. Conversely those looking to party hard en route to their destination will need a limousine designed specifically for that purpose.

Take Your Time

Renting the best limousine in the world takes time. When you're in need of a limo you should take your time and begin researching both companies and cars months ahead of your event date. Not only will this give you ample time to find the most reputable and affordable services but plenty of time to lock a car down for your date. The further out you book a limo the greater the chances the car you desire will be available.

Rental Car Or Limousine?

rental cars

When individuals and parties have an event to attend they are often tempted to rent a car in order to save wear and tear as well as mileage on their own vehicles. While there is certainly nothing wrong with renting a car when something is wrong with your own vehicle or when you're taking your family on a vacation a limousine/chauffeur service is a far better option when there is an event to attend. Such events may include birthday celebrations, corporate holiday parties, or weddings, just to name a few.

Driving Yourself...Crazy

No matter how nice a rental car may be you will still need to drive yourself to whatever events you plan on attending. This can be a real hassle considering that you might be tired after a long day and before an event. People generally don't like traveling long distances in their car or rental car after such events. Complicating matters even further, many rental firms include costly fines for exceeding a certain amount of mileage and will require gas tanks to be filled completely before their return. Why anyone wants to hassle with those things or returning a vehicle on time after an event remains a mystery.

Conversely those who rent a limousine, town car, or shuttle bus for their event can leave the driving in the hands of an experienced professional who not only enjoys what they do but knows streets and freeways better than they could ever hope to. If that isn't enough to convince you that a limousine rental is superior to renting a car and driving yourself to an event, remember that when you elect to be chauffeured around town or to an event you're free to rest, work, or even play.

Rental Car Insurance

Those who are considering renting a car over a limousine should also keep in mind that rental companies often require their customers pay a hefty fee for renters insurance. In most circumstances where an individual rents a limousine instead there's one flat rate and they won't be asked to pay an additional insurance fee on top of their standard fees.

All things considered...

When you look at the costs of renting a vehicle an individual can drive themselves versus those of a limousine service it's important to remember that not only are limo costs often more affordable but individuals won't have to drive themselves anywhere, rush to return a vehicle, or pay for out-of-pocket expenses just prior to or after returning a rental. If you have questions about limousine services, shuttle buses, party buses, or town cars please feel free to contact us here at Associated Fleet. We employ an experienced an extremely courteous staff that is capable of answering any questions you may have about chauffeur services and our vehicles.

How To Rent A Limousine Properly

Associated Fleet Limo Rentals
Associated Fleet Limo: associatedfleetlimo.com

Whether an individual intends to rent a limousine for business or for pleasure there is always a great deal of excitement and sometimes anxiety prior to actually hiring any specific limousine service. These emotions run rampant amongst limousine clients simply because they look forward to ridding in comfort and because there are so many limousine services available which makes it extremely difficult to not only weed out undesirables but differentiate the reputable firms from one another. Individuals who plan on hiring a limousine service for any reason can do the following to ensure that they get the best bang for their buck and the most reliable, reputable service available.

1. What's The Occasion?

The first thing anyone should do before they even begin to consider hiring any specific limousine service is to determine what their occasion for a limousine is and figure out just how many people are going to be along for the ride. Different limousine services offer different rates and different types of cars for different occasions. With that in mind it behooves individuals to seek out a limousine service that can give them exactly what they need and what they want. Not all limousine services offer a great number of cars nor variety of different cars which can put riders in a bind or force them to capitulate and accept a car that really doesn't work for them. Having a firm grasp on what their occasion entails and just how many people are going to ride in the limo before they begin shopping for one will help individuals ensure that they find not only the right firm but the right car as well.

2. Depth Of Pockets

The second thing individuals will need to work out before they begin shopping for or interviewing limo services is their budget. Those with deep pockets will naturally have a great many more options available to them while those operating on slim and tight budgets may need to look for alternative vehicles and make alternative travel plans for a portion of their party in an effort to save money. That's not to say that limousine services are only for the very wealthy as most limousine services offer very affordable rates as well as a wide variety of different vehicles to choose from. Not every individual needs a limousine that stretches 80 feet or one that features a swimming pool, television set, and booze. Individuals can draw up their budget by determining the number of riders in their party, what amenities are necessities, and how long they plan or need to be in a particular limousine. Once those metrics have been established individuals can add or remove things from their list of wants. Knowing what you have to spend long before you ever shop or interview with a limousine service can help you avoid spending more than you need to, more than you have, and may help you get more than you originally thought possible.

3. Vehicle Type And Size

Those who intend to hire a limousine service need to give careful consideration to the type and size of vehicle they think they need. Many times after some research or speaking with a limousine service individuals will find that a particular vehicle is either too big, small, or doesn't possess some sort of existential quality that their events demands. Wedding parties for example almost always need more than a simple town car if they want make the most out of the experience. Conversely a business professional in need of a ride to or from an airport may not necessarily need a stretch limousine to get from an airport or to their following destination. Individuals seeking a comfortable ride can often get away with smaller vehicles and less amenities while those looking for fun and to impress almost undoubtedly need something more extravagant than a simple shuttle or town car. Determining what type of limousine you need prior to shopping for one will help temper expectations and streamline the shopping process.

Place An Emphasis On Value

With so much to consider prior to shopping for or hiring a limousine service individuals often find themselves feeling overwhelmed and a bit bewildered by all of the choices and considerations in front of them. What individuals should always emphasize however is value. Regardless of the type of budget you have your going to want the best bang for your buck. Individuals should be very wary of limousine services that attempt to push bigger packages and vehicles on them. A good limousine service will not try to oversell anything and will instead work closely with their prospective clients to find them exactly what they need. Utilizing all of the aforementioned tips and having information ready from the get-go will help individuals find the best value and get the most of their limousine service.

How To Inspect A Limo Rental – The Easy Way

airport limousine services
Town Car Rental
When it comes to looking into a limo service you’re going to want to not only book something within your budget but also make sure that you inspect any vehicle of interest before moving forward. Whether you get a town car or a stretched solution make absolutely sure that you check out the condition of your ride in person. Do not assume that you are going to get something 100% immaculate. Go make sure that's what you'll get. Inspections are also important because they can help you avoid being charged for existing damages/issues.

Visual Inspection

First and foremost take some time to look at what you’re getting and be very meticulous. If you asked for a stretch make sure that's what you're getting. Also look for a license number and plates. to ensure the car can legally be driven. Moreover take a good look at the outside of the limo and make note of any damages or issues you find. The condition of the vehicle you're interested in  should be free from scratches, dents and other types of damage. A scrupulous visual inspection can help ensure you’re not being overcharged for anything.

Interiors

Make sure that the interior of your limo is clean, smells nice, and is in good order. You should also take note of the amenities that are present. Be sure everything you've asked for is already there. If you spot things like duct tape, dirty carpeting, and other types of budget fixes be sure to speak up immediately and don't hesitate to walk away from this service. Remember you’re the consumer and spending your hard earned money so don't accept compromises.

Legal Issues

One of the most important things to consider is whether or not the limo service you’re using is on the up and up and operating cleanly. Don't be afraid to ask for license and insurance information and keep an eye out for law suits a service may be embroiled in. Many cities, counties, and states require limo services to openly display their credentials but if you don't see them make no bones about asking to see them. Legitimate limo services will welcome the inquiries and produce these things while less reputable companies will offer excuses, discounts, among other things to distract you. Take your time, inspect everything and make sure that you are being taken for a ride, other than the one you intended to take.

The Most Expensive Bus In The Whole World

The Most Expensive Bus in the World

When you think about buses, you don’t immediately think about the costs associated with them. In fact your thoughts will most likely turn towards the public transportation buses that you see moving around major metropolitan cities. While those are interesting in their own right,  you'll find that private buses are far more compelling and when it comes to price and luxury you are not going to find another solution with quite the same power and amenities. With that in mind you may want to look at what has been deemed the most expensive bus in the whole world. This modern luxurious bus is going to absolutely change the way that you see buses forever.

First and foremost you will find that the most expensive bus in the world is a single decker and it has been designed for Prince Sultan Bin Fahd of Saudi Arabia. This lavish vehicle has the same points of interest that you would expect to find in a five star hotel. It’s got complete furnishings, it's own lavatory, kitchen, and entertainment room. As you start to look the vehicle over you will find that there is an incredible attention to detail and that it's a bus that is going to end up delivering more than just a simple ride.

Once inside you will find modern controls up front, leather seating, a dash made from luxurious wood, cameras, TFT screens, automatic controls for everything, and an engine room that will impress even the harshest of critics. The interior hallways and seating areas are decked out like a palace and lead you down to a five star bedroom with television, bed, and couch. It’s larger than most hotel rooms and it’s done up to create a home away from home on the most marvelous of scales.

If that’s not enough, there’s additional sleeping areas including one with a king size bed and HD television directly in front. It’s an impressive creation that continues to astonish as you visit the bathroom. The most expensive bus in the world doesn’t just have a toilet; its bathroom features glass, marble, gold, and all the trimmings that you would expect from a five star destination.

The most expensive bus in the world is more of a hotel on wheels than it is a private charter. You have not seen anything until you have set eyes on the most expensive bus in the world.
